As the global community watches the Olympic Games unfold in Rio, the Bellefield team embarked on a teambuilding activity inspired by our favorite Olympic Athletes.
At Bellefield, we strive to continually cultivate a winning culture. There are several facets of a strong corporate culture, but one of the things that we have found is that the ability to get away from the stress of the day-to-day grind to have some fun is key to growing our rapport and maintaining high morale as a team.
Each year, we try to do something fun as a team building activity, and this year, we chose to host our very own version of the Olympic games! We divided into four teams and participated in several activities, such as card stacking competitions, relay races and even a hockey game. Some challenges required a group effort, while others were completed by individuals supported by their cheering teammates.
We had a great time, but we learned valuable lessons too. As Olympic Gold Medalist, Summer Sanders once said, “The things you learn from sports – setting goals, being part of a team, confidence – that’s invaluable. It’s not about trophies and ribbons. It’s about being on time for practice, accepting challenges and being fearful of the elements.” This mentality drives our culture at Bellefield, and teambuilding activities like the Bellefield Olympics help us reinforce those values. Our culture touches every aspect of our work, from the product to customer interactions, which is why we will continue to nurture it as we continue to grow.
